I figure I should update this for those that don't follow my LJ...

As per usual, things are hectic and just plain crazy. I've been super busy with work and kicking ass at school. I've brought my GPA up enough (some of you may remember my attempt at college right after high school that didnt end so well) that I don't have to appeal for student loans anymore. :D Which might be a moot point ANYWAY because the best thing has happened! I've been chosen at work to go train to be a groomer! This is awesome, because I can make $600 a week on average. So I won't even need student loans anymore. :D

Also last week I managed to get Cody hired at Petsmart. He was going to work at both Target and Petsmart but the pet care lead spot is open and hes going to try for that. It's a full time position that pays decently, and it's the next step up to management. Long story short: We're going to be getting married soon! It'll still be a year or so before we do but we are excited. :D I can't wait to get a house with a yard for Munch and an extra room for foster kittens!

So yeah... things are finally falling into place for me. It's been a hard road these past several years but I just kept my head above the water and worked hard and it all finally paid off!

Patchtogether's shitty business practices

I recently preordered a toy from the website "Patchtogether". I put in the preorder to help push said toy to the 50 order mark so that it could be on its way to production. Everywhere you look, it's stamped that you will not be charged until the toy is IN PRODUCTION. I figured "In 2 weeks, I'll have the money to cover it" so I went ahead and pre ordered. Lo and Behold, Patchtogether charged my bank account for the toy. This not only has put me in a position that I CAN'T AFFORD MY SCHOOL BOOKS for my class that starts TOMORROW, but I am short money for my car note, which if I'm late on that, is really bad news.

To add insult to injury, every message I've sent to them has only been ignored, or they've told me that I was wrong. So I screencapped my online bank statement and sent that. They are refusing to refund my money! DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Their customer service is TERRIBLE and their business practices are shady at best.

Can I just tell you guys how horrendously busy I've been? The house thing didn't work out, it had a mold problem and just a few problems too many for me to be able to reasonably afford or live with. So I'm living with my dad, and will have our internet officially set up on Monday. I went and got a wireless card for my computer today so I'm leeching off of another connection because I'm a horrible person.

School has been pretty much awesome. I just took my final exam for my english class today, and my public speaking class starts on Tuesday. I ended up having to buy a new car because getting around without one is damn near impossible where I live. So I got an 09 Hyundai Elantra. Before you guys laugh, just know that it's the top rated car in its class! And I've got an epic warranty. Oh, and my car is freakin purple! The name of the color is "Purple Rain" so I giggle every time I get into it. I need to make a Prince CD to blast in thar.

But anyway, I am alive and well, just been SO busy with school, work, car shopping, etc.

No really, my dad is giving me one of his trailers. It's paid off and he's going to get it put into my name. It will be MY home. :D And I'll bring Munch and foster a million animals and and and. I'm SO excited.
